Sentiero: Il Passo della Morte

                                          Segno lasciato da un artista
                                          oil on canvas (30 x 40 cm)

"Sign left by an artist"

When I saw this logo and then I did the painting I thought of what Joseph Beuys taught us:
"everyone is an artist". With this he meant that each of us placed in a just social context can become and with his work can contribute to changes. For Beuys, creation is creativity; this is his concept of art. He also declares that like bees in a beehire, humans too should work for each other and not just for themselves. I saw the logo and made me think about this concept.... Scout have marked a path...

Pausa dentro un casolare attorno a vestiti e scarpe
                                      di alcuni giovani ragazzi africani
                                      oil on canvas (30 x 40 cm )

"Pauses inside a cottage around clothes and shoes of some young african boys"

What  I really saw inside the abandoned cottage is not seen in the painting but what we read in the title. Sitting next to each other were young african boys who were waiting to continue their journey. Their eyes, their looks remained impressed.
In my project I had set the rule that i would have only photographed and reported on canvas objects not people, but those objects contain the history of many human beings.
